Marking the end of a life appropriately is an important thing to do, and a funeral service offers a time for family and friends to come together to grieve, to give thanks for the life lived, and to commend that person into God’s care.
Anyone can arrange to have a funeral service, regardless of whether they attend church or not. However, as we meet in the local school, funeral services are not undertaken in our church. So alternatively, we can meet your preference by arranging the service to be taken in one of our partner churches or you may ask for a minister to help organise and lead a service at one of the local crematoria. Our local crematorium is located at All Hallows Road Caversham RG4 5LP (Website)
Remember that you are not alone, we are here to help, support and guide, so that the content of the service reflects the life of the person who has died. We will help you design a service that might include a combination of hymns, readings, music, poetry and tributes that will help you to remember your loved one in a meaningful way.
Please don’t hesitate to contact any of our ministry team for help and guidance, or request the Funeral Director to contact us on your behalf.
